Delivering humanitarian aid supplies to displaced and orphaned children from Ukraine
Our Managing Director Steve Holland has teamed up with a fellow Royal Navy veteran Terry Buckel of Astute Technical Recruitment to deliver humanitarian aid supplies to displaced and orphaned children from Ukraine.
We are embarking on a humanitarian aid mission to Poland with a 7.5t truck full of supplies for the displaced/ orphaned child refugees who have fled Ukraine and we set off on Tuesday 8th March. We first discussed this idea on 3rd March and things have moved very quickly since then.
Having received over 3.5 tonnes of aid supplies from the very generous people of the Portsmouth area over the weekend, our truck is now full. We would also like to donate funds, and for that reason, we have created a GoFundMe page, which can be found at https://lnkd.in/dNdcTb8U
Working in partnership with the Caritas charity in Lublin, Poland and directly with a number of centres helping displaced and orphaned children in Stalowa Wola, we would like to raise as much as possible to directly help these children and all monies raised will go to those helping out at the front line. Of course we will be donating the 3.5 tonnes of supplies to them also which is made up mainly of childrens and baby clothes, toys, food, medicines, sanitary products and essential items that they simply do not have enough of.
The costs of the travel, including truck hire, fuel, ferry, hotels and any other costs associated with the transport and logistics, are being covered by Steve and Terry. So anything else raised will go straight to a good cause.
Thanks in advance for any donations as we all know there are people out there in need, and anything we can do to help will benefit them.
Please help us achieve our target of £10k – we are over half way there already.
Steve & Terry.
